Barton She is a British American actor, is a part of the cast in television, film and in theatre. She has made her New York City debut at the Lincoln Center with Tony Kushner's Slavs! as well as portrayed the role of a lead character in James Lapine's Twelve Dreams. The actress made her acting debut in 1996 with a cameo on the American serial-opera All My Children, and she voiced a character in the Nickelodeon animated show KaBlam! from 1996 until 1997. Her first notable acting role was in Lawn Dogs, a drama with Sam Rockwell. In 1999, she appeared as a character in M. Night Shyamalan's psychological thriller The Sixth Sense and the romantic comedic film Notting Hill. Barton also appeared in the crime thriller of 1999 that was a part of an independent production called Pups. Barton also starred as Rachel Wood's girlfriend in ABC's Once and Again 2001 and the drama for independent producers Lost and Delirious (2002). The actress played Marissa Cooper in the 2003-2006 season of The O.C. Fox show The O.C., for which she won two Teen Choice Awards. Barton was well-known for her role, as well as Entertainment Weekly named her the year's "It Girl" in 2003. Barton has been acting since in the comedic St Trinian's The drama Closing the Ring directed by Richard Attenborough and the drama Closing the Ring. She also appeared in the drama Closing the Ring which was directed Richard Attenborough.
